Madrasa / Islamic College Admission Process
1. Announcement of Admissions
-
The madrasa/college officially announces the opening of admissions for the new academic year through notices, local announcements, social media, or the official website.
-
The admission notification usually specifies available courses (Hifz, Aalimiyat, Arabic, Islamic Studies, Modern Education, etc.), eligibility, and important dates.
2. Application Form Submission
-
Interested students/parents collect or download the admission form.
-
The form must be filled with accurate details such as student’s name, age, previous education, and guardian’s details.
-
Required documents are attached (birth certificate, previous school certificate, ID proof, photographs, etc.).
3. Eligibility & Entrance Test
-
Students may undergo a basic entrance test to assess Qur’an recitation (Nazirah, Hifz level), Arabic knowledge, or general academics.
-
Some madrasas also check handwriting, discipline, and student’s interest in Islamic studies.
-
For higher Islamic studies, candidates may be asked to recite Qur’an portions, Arabic grammar, or previous madrasa syllabus.
4. Interview & Counseling
-
A short interview with the student and guardian is often conducted by the teachers/management.
-
The purpose is to understand the student’s aptitude, family background, and intention for seeking Islamic education.
-
Counseling is provided regarding curriculum (Islamic + Modern Education) and hostel/boarding facilities if required.
5. Admission Confirmation
-
Selected students receive confirmation from the madrasa/college.
-
Parents/guardians complete admission formalities by paying a nominal admission fee (if applicable).
-
Students are allotted their class/section and hostel accommodation (if staying).
6. Orientation & Commencement of Classes
-
New students attend an orientation program introducing them to madrasa rules, daily schedule, and course structure.
-
Classes officially begin as per the academic calendar, including Qur’an, Hadith, Fiqh, Arabic, Islamic sciences, and modern subjects where applicable.
